Whether being a part of the local church has been a part of your life or if you’re checking it out for the first time, we would love for you to be our guest at one of our services! You will be welcomed by the greatest group of volunteers around who know what’s it like to be new.
From the moment you arrive to the moment you depart, we want you to feel at home. Casual or dressed, come-as-you-are, and engaging, we offer something for anyone genuinely seeking real connection with God and with other people.
What to Expect When You Arrive
Our greeters are ready to welcome you and help you get to your seat! If you have children Birth – 5th grade, our Ossington Kids is the place for them! We will help you find their age-appropriate class, get them checked in, and on your way to your worship service.
Worship
Our vibrant and free worship times take place in a welcoming environment where we passionately magnify Jesus through our praise. We love to worship freely and intimately and are expectant for God to move as we lift Him up and He inhabits our praises. We love to see families worship together and parents teaching their kids to honour God with their worship together.
Water Baptism
Congratulations, it’s time to celebrate! Water Baptism is a public celebration of your decision to follow Jesus. That’s a BIG DEAL! In the Bible, Jesus tells anyone who follows Him to get baptized in water. Because of that, here at Oaks Church, we encourage everyone who has decided to follow Jesus to get baptized. Bring your friends and family to share this big day with you!
Baptism is intended only for those who have professed faith in Jesus Christ and can give sufficient testimony to the basics of Christian beliefs. We baptize by immersion because it is not only the original significance of the word but also best symbolizes the reality to which baptism points—our death and resurrection in Christ.
