Baptist Church Toronto Ontario
Our Worship Team
A worship committee within a church is responsible for many aspects of worship (music, prayer, drama, technology, service flow, special events, etc.) The Worship Committee at Ossington Avenue Baptist Church (OABC) is therefore charged with providing life changing worship experiences for all who walk through its doors. Working in close conjunction with the pastor, the Worship Committee helps to design and provide a worship experience that is deeply engaging and transformative, and that engages members of the congregation to lead and contribute to corporate worship.
Media
Media and technology are of great importance in the church because they play a significant role in enhancing a church’s worship experience. The principal function of the media committee at OABC is to utilize various media tools (sound, computer software, lighting, web site, social media, etc.) effectively to enhance church worship services and programs as well as to provide information on church activities to the membership and the community at large.
Mission and Outreach
The primary responsibility of the Missions and Outreach committee is to plan and promote an outward mission program for the church and to interpret that mission to the church. The Missions and Outreach Committee strives to help the church engage in mission initiatives throughout the local community and beyond. Members of this committee work to encourage individual participation in specific mission projects and programs; educate, inform, and motivate the congregation about mission outreach and their part in it; involve members of the congregation in mission and service projects in the immediate community and the community around the world; evaluate mission projects and develop a benevolent program to support individuals in need.
Usher
The heart of an usher is the heart of a servant, and he/she does his/her work for the Lord Jesus (Colossians 3:24). A church usher has a true love for the people of the church and a desire to promote an atmosphere of reverence and worship in the house of God. The OABC ushers are among the best as they help to make each person who comes through the doors of the church feel welcome, happy, and at home by providing a welcoming atmosphere.
Ossington Kids
Kids will be cared for by committed leaders, experience exciting services, and interact with age-appropriate lessons.
